Wired.com has a rather bizarre story of an architecture student’s proposal to grow chickens en masse.
André Ford’s proposal, called the “Headless Chicken Solution“, is to grow chickens with their cerebral cortex removed. The chickens would be placed in huge vertical frames of 1,000 animals each, and could thus be grown in extremely confined spaces in urban areas. Muscular stimulation would be provided via electric shocks.
