The suits for the Apollo missions were all sewn entirely by hand, without the use of traditional sewing tools such as pins and other temporary fasteners for fear that one would be forgotten and left in the suit.
Jets of plasma fly away from the supermassive black hole in galaxy Hercules A. This image is a composite of visible light and radio data, combined from the Hubble and the Very Large Array.
The jets are composed of plasma, magnetic fields, and subatomic particles; they are travelling near the speed of light, and are 1.5 million light-years in length, dwarfing the galaxy at their centre.

May 6, 1968: in this video, Neil Armstrong is flying the lunar lander research vehicle (LLRV) when the device experienced a total failure of its flight controls. Armstrong had to bail out seconds before the vehicle crashed and exploded.
He was back in his office an hour later.
