Some of the sculptures by the “Library Phantom”.

Since last spring, someone has been leaving paper sculptures in libraries around Edinburgh, Scotland. The artworks were accompanied by anonymous notes expressing support for books, libraries, and librarians.

A staff member at the University of Michigan’s Centre for Chinese Studies was sorting through boxes in a storage room, and found fifteen hand-made papercut propaganda posters dating from China’s Cultural Revolution.
